A single implant gets a bespoke zirconia crown. A full arch gets teeth of zirconia-covered ceramic, held on a titanium bar made to fit your implants. We don’t offer acrylic (plastic) teeth on implants: they wear and stain sooner and need replacing more often, and that is often why a quote elsewhere comes in lower.
Two full arches can look the same on a price list. Here is what usually separates a lower quote from ours.
| Lucan Dental | A typical cheaper quote | |
|---|---|---|
| What the teeth are made of | Yes: Zirconia-covered ceramic: hard-wearing, stain-resistant. | No: Acrylic (plastic) teeth that wear and stain sooner. |
| What holds them | Yes: A titanium bar made to fit your implants. | No: Often acrylic alone, or a lighter frame. |
| How long before replacing | Yes: Built to last for many years with good care. | No: Acrylic teeth usually need replacing sooner. |
| A 3D scan before surgery | Yes: A CT scan plans every implant before we start. | No: Not always included in the quoted price. |
| Gums treated first | Yes: Gum disease is found and treated before implants. | No: Not every clinic checks the gums in depth. |
| A written price before you decide | Yes: Your plan and price in writing. No obligation. | No: Extras such as grafts sometimes added later. |
| Care for nervous patients | Yes: IV sedation available for implant surgery. | No: Not every clinic offers sedation. |
| Follow-up close to home | Yes: Check-ups here in Lucan Village, not abroad. | No: Treatment abroad means flights for every problem. |
Gum disease is one of the main reasons teeth are lost, and left untreated it can threaten implants too. So before we place anything, we check your gums and the bone under them, and treat any disease first. Your implants are only as healthy as the gums around them.
Dr Tomas Henriksen's postgraduate training is in periodontology, the care of the gums and the bone that holds your teeth. He looks after both the surgery and the long-term health around your implants, so the result is planned to last, not just to look good on the day.
Your implants are planned and placed by two dentists with postgraduate training in the two things implants depend on: healthy gums and careful surgery.

Carlaimar, Main Street (opposite AIB), Lucan Village, Co. DublinFrom your first visit to your final zirconia teeth, here is what to expect and what each step costs.
We examine your teeth, gums and bite and take an OPG X-ray of your whole mouth. Then we explain your options, from a single implant to a full arch, and give you a written plan and price to take away. There is no obligation to go ahead.
If you decide to go ahead, a CT scan shows the height and width of your bone in 3D. It is taken at Clondalkin Dental, our sister practice, and we plan the position of every implant on it before surgery.
Any gum disease is treated first, so your implants start in a healthy mouth. If the scan shows there is not enough bone, we build it up. You will know about this, and its price, before anything starts:
| Treatment | When it is needed | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Bone grafting | Bone too thin where the implant goes | €400–€750 |
| Sinus lift | Too little bone under the sinus, upper back teeth | €1,995 |
| Bone block graft | A larger area of bone has been lost | from €2,000 |
Your implants are placed here in Lucan under local anaesthetic. If you are nervous, IV sedation is available: you stay awake but deeply relaxed, and most people remember little of the procedure.
Over the following months, usually three to six, the implants bond with your jawbone. We see you during this time to check that everything is healing as it should.
Regular check-ups and hygiene visits here in Lucan Village keep your gums and implants healthy for the long term.
€2,000 for one tooth: the implant is €1,000 and the bespoke zirconia crown on top of it is €1,000. If your scan shows you need bone grafting or a sinus lift first, that is priced separately and shown in your written plan before you agree to anything.
A single arch starts at €12,500 and both arches at €25,000. The final price depends on how many implants you need and on your scan, and it is in writing before you decide.
Usually because the teeth are acrylic (plastic). Acrylic costs less but wears and stains sooner and needs replacing more often. We only make full arches in zirconia-covered ceramic on a titanium bar, so we can stand behind the result.
€100, including an OPG X-ray of your whole mouth. If you go ahead, the CT scan we plan your implants on is €120 and is taken at Clondalkin Dental, our sister practice.
Not everyone does; your CT scan shows it. If you do, bone grafting is €400–€750, a sinus lift €1,995 and a bone block graft from €2,000.
Implants are placed under local anaesthetic, so you feel pressure rather than pain. If you are nervous, IV sedation is available: you stay awake but deeply relaxed, and most people remember little of it.
We don't offer finance ourselves. Some patients take a personal loan from their credit union or An Post; we give you a written plan and price to bring to your lender.
No. If your scan suggests zygomatic implants are the only option for you, we will tell you at your consultation.
Eight quick questions, then we call you to talk through your options and prices.
